For many years, Cleveland Clinic and Lerner Research Institute have been at the forefront of biomedical research. Applications are invited to fill two unique positions as Cleveland Clinic’s Molecular Cardiology Scholars.
We seek researchers with experience in molecular and cell biology, integrin and growth factor signaling and/or vascular biology and animal models. Applicants must document their success during their PhD or initial postdoctoral studies by first-author publications in reputable journals. The chosen candidates will have an opportunity to work with several PIs on the projects interlinking Vascular Biology and Inflammation. The projects integrate molecular and cellular biology approaches (adhesions dynamics, migration in 3D, mechanotransduction) and state-of-the-art in vivo models and multi-photon imaging to address important biomedical problems. We emphasize motivation and productive work in a collegial environment and an opportunity for translational and clinical collaborations. For further details see published work: West et al., Nature, 2010; Ding et al., Cell Metab. 2012; Kerr et al., Sci Signal., 2013. Applications from motivated and skilled individuals with MS or BS degrees are also invited for a position of research technologist on these projects.
The institution has a history of offering outstanding benefits to its employees.
