Research Associate in Redox Signaling

A Research Associate position is immediately available in the Redox Molecular Signaling Core as part of a recently funded COBRE grant to establish the Center for Redox Biology and Cardiovascular Disease at the LSU Health Science Center in Shreveport. The Research Associate will assist, organize, and conduct experiments using established scientific protocols and procedures; analyze and summarize data; track progress of research projects; perform a variety of routine tasks related to the maintenance of the laboratory; adhere to safety and compliance guidelines; assist in new method development, optimization, and validation; and train students and student workers, as needed. Other duties as may be assigned as necessary to complete research projects. The ideal candidate will be highly motivated, possessing skills in biochemistry and bioinformatics.
Applicants must have received a bachelor’s degree in biology, biochemistry, chemistry, or related disciplines. Candidates with experience in HPLC analysis and mass spectrometry are particularly encouraged to apply. English competency is required.
