Applications are invited for the post of Postdoctoral Research Associate to study mechanisms of vascular leakage. The successful applicant will carry out a wide range of duties including high quality research into biomarkers and signaling associated with retinal vascular leakage. This post is central to a newly established international project. Work will be carried out in the laboratory of Dr Patric Turowski at UCL’s Institute of Ophthalmology in collaboration with laboratories in southern India.
This project also aims at capacity building and will allow free development into any vascular biology area in the host laboratory. The successful candidate will be expected and supported to apply for independent fellowships by the end of the grant period.
The position is funded for an initial period of 3 years.
Essential criteria for this post is a PhD in a relevant subject area and the ability to lead a research project with considerable degree of independence. Experience in cell signalling research and protein biochemistry are desirable.
